Professional Background

During the summers of 2017 and 2018, I worked as an office clerk for Caldwell Securities Ltd. My job was to scan, file, organize, and digitize documents such as NCAF's (new client application forms). Not every teenager gets the opportunity to work in a corporate office setting in Toronto's financial district. This opportunity taught me skills like paying attention to detail, independence, and communication. I had to pay close attention to detail when scanning and filing files. No mistakes could be made because it could negatively alter clients' information and cost the company money. Working with people more than three times my age gave me great insights into professional life and life as a whole. My coworkers did not baby me because of my age. I was held to a similar standard as they were. Communication is a big part of working at Caldwell. If there was a problem, it had to be communicated to other members of the team so they would be aware of it/ try to help. Since everyone is on the same team, communication is key to success. Technical skills like how to use and fix scanners, printers and various online programs were learned as well. The skills learned by working at Caldwell Securities Ltd. will be taken with me to my next place of employment and beyond.

Since I was a young boy, I have been an actor/ model represented by Sherrida Personal Management Inc., a modelling and talent agency. I have appeared on numerous television, online, and print advertisements. I've been on print ads for Today's Parent, Canadian Tire and television ads for Brisk, Protect Children Canada, The Shopping Channel, the Royal Ontario Museum, and Spin Master, as well as an appearance on the TV show What's Your News?. Working in this field taught me to be outgoing and unafraid to be myself in front of people. Public appearance/ public speaking is a fear held by most people. This fear does not live within me as I have been exposed to acting from a young age. Acting has taught me about collaboration, taking direction, competition, and being myself. Being behind the scenes in the media world has allowed me to see film, TV, and media differently than most. I've seen/ learned how things are done and what goes into producing media. The time I have spent on set was an enjoyable part of my life.
